Topic: Social-Emotional Skills & Family Connection
Parenting isn’t about perfection—it’s about connection. This interactive workshop from Mother Hen Foundation focuses on helping parents strengthen relationships with their children through everyday strategies that build trust, emotional awareness, and resilience.
You’ll learn how to create calmer, closer, and more cooperative moments at home using simple techniques that promote healthy communication and understanding.
This workshop is for parents, caregivers, and families who want to build stronger emotional bonds with their children. Whether you’re navigating tantrums, teen moods, or the stress of daily life, this session provides tools to help you connect, guide, and support your child in meaningful ways.
We especially welcome families from underserved communities seeking practical, research-based skills that promote healthy relationships and emotional growth within the home.
Participants will explore:
👉🏼Strategies for emotional regulation—helping children calm, reflect, and recover after big feelings
👉🏼 Ways to communicate with empathy so your child feels heard and understood
👉🏼 Techniques to build daily connection rituals that strengthen family bonds
👉🏼 Tools for resilience-building, helping children cope with frustration and stress
👉🏼 Positive discipline and problem-solving approaches that support cooperation and confidence
Children thrive when they feel seen, safe, and supported. Research shows that strong parent-child connections lead to better mental health, improved behavior, and lifelong emotional resilience. When parents have the tools to stay calm, communicate effectively, and connect intentionally, the entire family benefits.
At Mother Hen Foundation, we believe that connection is at the heart of every child’s growth. By supporting parents, we strengthen families—and by strengthening families, we uplift entire communities.
“When children feel connected, they feel capable. When parents feel supported, they help their families soar.”
